Isn't parting this Harry Leary Turbo out, purely motivated by greed? Especially when this comment is posted:

"I FEEL BETTER KNOWING THAT THE REAL BMXERS ARE SURFING AND WILL SEE THIS RARE OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A COMPLETE HARRY LEARY TURBO 1982 ... THE GODFATHER WILL LAY IT OUT IN FRONT OF YOU AND IF IT'S IN YOUR HEART PULL THE BID LAUNCHER OUT AND SMASH THE TRIGGER ON ALL THE AUCTIONS GOING ON RIGHT NOW !!! YOU COULD OWN ONE OF THE RAREST BIKES OUT THERE . !!!!.."

I mean, the seller has completely dismantled what looks to be a really nice Turbo, and then says it is a rare opportunity to own a complete turbo? How? Unless someone has the bollocks to lay down huge snipe bids, there is no way you would win all the auctions. The only reason a "godfather" does this is to get max bucks. I know the seller has the right to do this, but it seems real sad to think that someone out there, wanting a complete Turbo, wont get the chance to get this one.

In fact, that whole blurb in red is just a whole lot of hot air...

Well done "Godfather"... tongue.gif

Parted Out Turbo

Just my opinion...

I was disappointed when I saw it up on ebay tonight , all dismantled. Sad, but it is what it is.

Yep, it is what it is... pure greed. And as a result, a rare pretty much complete BMX bike is gone forever.

Looks like it was a pretty nice one before it was broke up. More like "the butcher" than the godfather.
JMCGT
atleast sell it as f/f and keep the b/b with the cranks...wanker..seems to be smoking prospectator too..
does anyone know god botherers name??

I have seen people do this with rare muscle cars too. When I asked the guy why he dismantled a perfectly restored numbers matching 69 Yenko Camaro he told me it was worth more on parts than as a whole. Sad sad.gif
BEAVER DAM

He seems to be a bit frustrated with regards to some of the Q & A

anyway, each to their own

As an owner He has the right to sell the bike as a complete or part by part, but...my point of view is that He/She should delete the "BMX" part of his eBay name as He/She is disrespecting the sport and all old-school collectors by parting out a very hard to find bike.

He/She also seems to be quite an unprofessional "power"seller. Take a look at this comment He/She left as a follow up to a customer that left a negative feedback:

"Reply by godfatherbmx (Apr-25-08 10:24):
SELLER BEWARE !!!! MENTAL ISSUES!!!! LOVES TO FIGHT!!!! LOW-LIFE!! needs beating"

"LOW-LIFE!! Need beating"...............nice comments....

I'll never buy from this seller - not matter what the offer is.

auctions pulled.

Agreed - parting out factory complete bikes sucks.
Pointless.
