I got a set of forks with the gold candy over chrome that is pealing in places. The chrome underneath looks great. Can anyone help me with the best way of stripping them without damaging the chrome? I want to remove the gold and polish these babies. Thanks for the help!
Kurt.
Regular paint stripper from a hardware shop and a toothbrush has always worked in the past for me. Just be sure and give it a good wash in soapy water afterwards.

Thanks for the help, they came out great! Used Tal Strip II Aircraft Coating Remover from Napa, and a toothbrush..
Can't quite figure out how to add pics on here yet angry.gif . I'll show some before and after as soon as I get it figured out.

That aircraft stripper is gnarley. Ate through my latex gloves and started to cook my skin.
Forks look good BTW
