I'm considering pulling the trigger on a roadbike for sale on ebay-as you might have guessed, a titanium litespeed. I am 6'2'' and the bike is a 59cm frame. I have yet to figger out post links, so after you make fun of me just type in "titanium litespeed 59" on ebay to bring up the bike. Any opinions and max. values would be greatly appreciated as I'm a complete neophyte.

Litespeed makes a great bike for taller riders. I remember when Chevrolet / LA Sheriff used to run them on their club and Pro teams. I always wanted one, but it they were just to expen$ive, BID.

Really depends on what your looking for out of this bike. If you were looking to race I would tell you to spend your money on something else where you can get an up to date gruppo. Don't get me wrong, the Ultegra group on this bike is nice, but it is a little out of date. Also, if you were planning to race you may wanna ditch the triple chain rings in the front and go to a 10 speed cog in the rear. I'm not sure if that model STI lever will accommodate a 10 speed cog, but it would be something to look in to.

If you're looking at this bike as a means of exercise and the friendly riding, then I'd say go for it as it is! Again, great quality in the frame and the ultegra group is a very solid middle line grouppo.

THanks alot-I just didn' want to be overpaying or buying a bike that's too small. The group I ride with are mostly chubby, sedentary middle aged men so I should be able to keep up. It's simply an exercise machine. Thanks again.

Great bike for your need, IMO.

59 cm for your height is the right fit. I might reccomend that you stop by your local bike shop, one which specializes in raod bikes and throw a leg over a 59cm and see how it feels. Keep in mind almost all frames differ slightly, but it should put you in the ball park for how the lite speed should feel.

If you have a shop which will profesionally fit you, I would strongly reccomend that, too. This is so much more important then people think. you can damage knee's and put yoursefl in an ergonomic nightmare if your ride isn't set up right for you. You can also cheat yourself out of efficiency on your bike, ie, working harder then you need to, to go faster.

Good luck!

I have a Tuscany. Mine is a 59cm w/ a 130mm stem. I'm just over 6ft with about a 86cm inseam. The production TT length for a 59 is 57.5 cm. Depending on the rest of you demensions and how you want it to fit, it might be slightly small for you.

I like my Litespeed and no longer race; Ti is a perfect material for a rider who plans to keep their frame for a long time because of its longevity. They're great bikes and I recommend them.

Really depends on the frame and how it fits. I'm just 6.0' and I've always ridden a 58. My buddy who's been a 6.2 has always ridden a 59.

a 59 may be okay, but again, I'd throw a leg over a 59 and ride it, or get fitted. If you can't find anywhere to get fitted. Take a peek at Greg Lemond's book. He has a great tutorial on how to set up your bike. You may need another person to perform the measurements while your on the bike.

The quick test is to starddle the top tube, and then lift the bike up until the top tube is touching the twins. You wanna have about 2". Again, you can find this in the book. Stem length varies so remember you have some room to play with if the bike your sitting on seems like it's bunching you up or stretching you out.

Take a look at the sizing chart at the link below.

Good Luck.
