Yup. Ron was at the factory today to pick up the 9t Graphite wheels. He took some video of the wheels as well.
Cool stuff......

Ed,
Will you be selling these pre-Pork or post-Pork?

I snagged a set of the 9t graphites taken off of a Pork... They will be going on a very special build.

I rode one of the Pork25s this weekend at the OS Reunion at Woodward West. The cassette hub was nice.
I spoke to Ron W., and he told me that it uses Odyssey-type guts, so you could switch out the driver and axle for titanium stuff.

Got them. From Ron directly. Without the Pork25. And grateful.
I've waited years for these.
Indeed, are Odyssey compatible. I already changed the driver and the axle without any problem.
I'm keeping my convertible-hubbed front wheel from my flip-flop set. Much nicer than the 3/8 axle version.
Question: why not just do all the re-issued Tuff wheels with the cassette hubs? Even if it costs an extra 50 per wheel, it's worth it. And convertible front wheels.
I'd buy lavender ones set up this way. Much higher quality.

Man those are sweet! I was beginning to think they were never going to happen!

Do I want to know the price? What do they weigh?

I can't comment on the price as Ron gave me a buddy deal. I think that FW bought the whole Pork25 to get the wheels.
They aren't remotely light. And graphites are not significantly lighter than normal tuffs. They are stiffer, though.
Tuff wheels are a pose wheel. It's just that they just look soooooo cool and classic. And that is awesome. But a nice set of spoked wheels is soooo much more high-performance.

No way! Tuffs are not Poser wheels! They can take all the dishing of hard 180s or rock walk without bending! I fear doing this on an Araya and was bending mine! That's why my Trickstar has Tuff 2's!

They look good, but I dont think they'd handle 3ing a 10 set. Probably best kept rock walking

Tuff Wheels aren't for everyone, but there are people who like them and ride them hard... not just because they look cool.

fair enough!
but shouldn't a "RETRO" bike be an old school ride with new technology,
not a mid school bike with mid school technology?

Great pics Cython!
Sportsmetal- The misquote trick is old and busted... and I've destroyed far more aluminum rims than Tuff Wheels... Nothing is indestructible.

Ha... i knew it, the TA stands for Tree Angler!!! So always look up in a heavly wooded area and you may see the very rare SKYWAY TREE ANGLER.... Tuffs rock!! They just dont roll as fast as a spoked rim but just as strong or stronger....Gotta get a 9t set!!!!!
