Looks like a Vetta Selle Turbo seat made in Italy.

Selle Italia Turbo. it's an '80s road saddle.

Doh! I meant to put in the original post that it was Alex's bike but I could not go back and edit it in after I posted it! I was looking through some old posts on radbmx and came across it. I agree though, awesome bike for sure!


No tribute bike, but my '90 Dirtbike looked strikingly similar to his old one, even had Haro Kneesavers on it! Wish I still had that one!

I love the Selle Italia Turbo seats! I've got one on my cruiser right now.

Yeah the cobra seat was a kind of a knock off of it.

That is a perforated Selle Italia. They made them in smooth, perforated, lycra and suede. They are also date coded on the underside. I have one on my 20 yr anniv Holmes. It was on my Kastan from when I was on the team.

Good info Nbl. I was able to grab a used one recently, a black smooth one which is what I was hoping for.

There was a few "Buy it Now" NOS ones on ebay. A black one for $125, a white one for $200 and a red peforated for $200

Glad I didn't need NOS. I thought old school bmx parts were bad!

BTW, maybe it was this seat I was thinking of. I'm sure I remember a rear shot of someone jumping(Billy Griggs?) and seeing the "Turbo" written across the back of the seat. Bah, my mind is slipping
