Hello all of my friends...
I would love to see any pictures or stories about anyone that rode one of my Crit Reversible Number Plates BITD.
I have missed BMX over the years and I have been having a blast here on Vintage.
So Please post them up!
Thank You!

I have many stories about my days on the Crit Plate factory team. One that comes to mind in a trip to Ashville NC NBL war of the stars in 84. I was not known on the national level yet, and smoked them all in 14 x and 14 cruiser. Winning a national riding for Crit Plate was a great joy for me. I went on to win several more riding Mike's colors. And then all but one team I was on ran Crit Plates. Won 19 nationals and 2 Grands sporting a Crit Plate. I have quite a few pictures but only a couple on this computer. This one is from BMX Plus from July of last year. They took a below the belt shot at Crit Plate which I didn't care for, but still a pix in the mag some 20 years after I quit racing.

Steve smith: Zero nines were a trend everyone followed before crit got big ,you sponsered me from 86ish on whitmans ,clear thru mcs and til i quit in 92 i ran your plates. A few local guys here and there gave me plates sometimes but a majority of my national wins were with a crit plate est.30 -40 national event wins in 5 years of top 5 ranking nationally .Wish i still had a few ,i need to dig around i may still have one [definatly do if i remember right that i have a nat'l plate made by crit in late 80s?}

Good eye!!! That is a GHP, the TNT frame wasn't built yet. I received my first frame for the Ironman classic that year, and if memory serves those are original revolvers...

Kmart-have you been going up to the track in Sunbury. I should be there for their next race unless I go to Dayton for the Redline Cup and battle with Steve.

The only number 1 plate I earned in my whole racing career (about 9 years to that point).
Alas, it was in the 17-Over Novice class, but hey...I was fastest of the slowest for that moment.

Yah guys he sure did... Chris at S&M Bikes made the Widow Maker frame and fork after him and his other band. (Widow Maker)
I had a chance to meet Dee two weeks ago here in RI at a local fund raiser for
http://www.stationfamilyfund.org/My next-door neighbor bar-tends at a local rock club here in RI... She helped the organizers host a back stage bash for all of the stars.
She had it all set up for me to meet Dee back stage... I was going to bring him a custom Crit Plate to have, But I didn't have enough time to prepare...
But I did see him and Twisted Sister perform at the big benefit concert the following night and they kicked [please review the site FAQs]!
You guys should check out the
http://www.stationfamilyfund.org/ it is a cause we all need to get behind!
My wife Karen and I were planing on going to see Great White that night in 2003 at the Station Night Club as a celebration of our twins Kyle and Sean being a year old... (The Metal Heads that we are)
But we changed plans at the last minute and did something else instead... If we went most likely we would have perished in the fire as well!!!(100 people lost their lives that night) Karen's friend and wife died that night and we probably would have hung out with them!
That night bothers us to this day knowing that our three boys would have been without both parents!
