Hi Ken,

It is nice to hear that you still have your Florida Crit Plates... I thought the one with the flamingos came out so cool.
BITD we weren't using computers and graphics programs like everybody does today. Most of the artwork was done by hand and films had to me made for the screen printing process. For each color of the design and that was done by hand as well using a masking film called Rubylith and every element of the design was hand cut with an Xacto knife... It was quite the process back then.

As far as the NBL and the BT story and what happened is actually part of a chain of events that took place starting in '89 and ended in '94 with the NBL and Bob Tedesco part in in all of it came in the later part of that time frame that really was death kill of Crit Plate and myself from bmx.

There are a lot of personal demons that are associated with all of what happened in that time frame of my BMX life that have been haunting me for years... and are tough to discuss...

I know I keep putting out there comments about things that have happened in the past and not giving the full story... In time it will come...

I hope everybody will understand...

Mike Rodrigues
Crit Reversible Number Plates

Mike,
I was unaware of the history. It is clear that it would still be difficult to discuss. I am sorry to hear that Crit Plates had such a difficult and unfortunate turn of events then.

It is great to hear that Crit Plates is now bouncing back from that unfortunate history to re-energize the BMX market with new versions of the original Mike Rodrigues high-quality products.

Mike, here are a couple from the 86 World Cup with me flying the Crit Plate banner. I cannot remember, did you sell the florescent green number plates, or were those special made?
