well its not a pit bike but, lets discuss this one shall we. hutch pros chime in on this one. Am i not seeing 2500 dollars worth let alone 4 grand, or have prices jumped so high that we are all getting out of control and paying outrageous prices for one piece crank trickstars now.

Asking $4,000.00 is one thing

actually getting it is another.

I don't have much to add about the price of the bike, but my parents use to have a couch that matched the chairs in the ebay listing - back in 1980.

Parted out, under the right conditions, the starting bid isn't too far off.
If pink is your thing.

Personally I won't tick this guy(gal?)off since he says he's gonna list some Profile stuff.

Import frame...Hi-Caliber (later budget stuff) throughout, Z mags, one piece cranks...

Barefoot tires...ugh.

Tange grips...OK, at least we TRIED for the Hutch grip look. I've done that. Lot cheaper too.

In these crazy times I can see a true NOS import TS frameset get a grand. The rest, nah.

Mike BUFF bars, eh? LOL. Not a bad LOOKING bike, really. Good use of color, it goes pretty well. The trick top seat and those tires gotta go though.

And yeah...too much, IMO.

Exactly...
I was going to mention that.

It's lacking the "NICER" parts...

for that BIN price - we should probably be looking at a nice long Hutch Stem, some Hutch tires (or at least not Barefeet). some caged pedals, an American Frame set.... Z-Rims with some nice Hubs (not mags)... and possibly aerospeeds(? maybe).. or at lease "some" brand of nice 3 piece cranks.

Still nice bike.. but wow....

This seller's other 'nos' trickstar frame and fork for auction is anything but nos. Check out that listing....repainted by C4, i asked them how i would know if it was truly nos since a repaint was done, how would i know if any repairs had been made or dents filled. Did they have pics before the repaint?....their answer was...'Ask Chip'...lol...

ms-hutch is a flipper. Period. I wouldn't trust one of their auctions as far as i could throw it. Essentially Heath with a finer attention to detail imho.

LOL, I love the cheap import parts on that thing. NOS doesn't mean a thing if the parts are cheap. If ever there were a Pro Raider of Trick Stars, that bike would be it.

Actually those are Buff bars. Notice both cross bars are the same diameter and higher up on the bar. I had an NOS set of these at one time.

$1500 start, $2500 BIN for an import TS f/f. WOW. Were they even $200 brand new? Jeez. Some people amaze me, the money they think this stuff is worth.

In my head, NOS means it hasn't been touched -- no repairs, no new paint, etc.. In other words, it's been sitting in a box or on a shelf for 20 years. Have I misunderstood?

Anyway, my comments are about the same as everyone else's: Cool enough bike, but comes with the lower-end Hutch stuff, which in my opinion was not as good in quality/durability/strength nor as good-looking as the Hi-Performance stuff. Personally, I don't mind the Japanese-made frame. My TrickStar bitd might have been Japanese made -- I don't remember the serial number, but it had the long fork pegs, and I bought it in late 1986.

I also like the barefoot tires. I know they were kinda crap and wore out in a matter of weeks (my friend rode these for a short time), but the design is fun.

As far as the price, I guess the market will decide. Like someone said above, the guy can ask all he wants. Will he get it? We'll see.

Yea, I'm still amazed at how much $$ some of this stuff brings in. But I'm even more amazed at what we can still find out there, and in NOS condition! As for this particular auction, well, the bin is $4 Grand for a complete. But her bin in another auction for a TS f/f is $2 Grand! Someone would be hard-pressed at the least to explain how all of those cheap parts are worth another $2 Grand??

HHHMMM....this is just my 2 cents, I know both Viz and Sema...and they are both real stand up folks anytime we did a deal it was always smooth, Viz is the Guy that got my Hutch Pro Star....and he does have the bike collection he says he has...IMO he is a good guy, I think the prices are well pretty high but ...you know what they say there is a buyer for everything!

There is no harm in asking. He/She is just hoping to find that ONE cause all it takes is ONE
caleb_k21
that ms. hutch sure does have some nice items.. i think the 4000 TS is ugly and like someone above pointed out many budget parts on it.. i would not expect it to sell for 2000, they will have to part it out for maximum value.. i told a guy i would give him this for 4k... all good parts, hutch everything immaculate condition (its mostly chromed but oh well) .....
