I am returning to BMX after a 24 year lay off and am going to by a 24" bike and the Floval Flyer is very high on my list. My local dealer has a few new 2005 models in stock for a $150 less than the 2008 models. (He will not have '08 modles in for a month or more). I noticed that the 2005 has a slightly shorter TT (and I am 6 feet even so that might make a difference) and the frame materials are differnt but I don't see many other differences.
Is it worth the extra $ to get the 2008 over the new 2005's? Is the slight difference in TT lenght noticable?

The 2008 is a real BMX bike. The 2005 frame is built around suspension corrected forks.

I have a 2005 and I love it. I am 6'1 and I think it fits just fine.

Sorry man, I had OM on the brain I guess. I will now defer all SE related topics to Capt. Nemo.

In the BMX Racing forum I posted a question about which BMX 24" cruiser would be best for me. I'm coming back into BMX racing after being out for 25 years. I'm 44 years old, 5-11 and 190lbs. These are the 3 bikes I'm looking at:
08 FreeAgent Ambush 24
07 Kuwahara 2KZ 24
07 Felt Sector 24
A forum member mentioned Colored Tuffs has 2005 Floval Flyers for $299.
Do you guys feel the 05 Floval Flyers would be a "better" bike for me than the other 3?
Thanks,

I'm exactly your height and weight, and I LOVE my Floval. I had an '03, and now an '07. Since I've never ridden the other bikes you mention, I can't really compare.
If you like the Floval, I would recommend it.
