Just curious to see what everyone rode bitd? I know alot of us on here were pretty serious about how and what we rode. But did u ever ride a decked out Master or Trick Star etc., while the guy riding next to was on a Mongoose FS1 or Sigma?! LOL. I had a few like that, but I also had a couple really good friends that rode a Trick Star, Master, GT Pro Performer, and a Hutch Excel.

The crew I hung out with bikes changed over the years but I would have to say that my favourite year for riding was the summer of 1988. Their was 7 in our crew and here is what we rode
My bike was a black 1987 Dyno Pro Compe Team
others were
1988 Red General Osborn Pro
1987 Black Kuwahara Bravo Team
1987 Black/Green Haro Sport Team
1988 Green/Teal Haro FST
1988 Blue Hutch Excel
1986 White Haro Sport
1986 Pink Hutch Trickstar
Where the bikes are now I have no idea. Sure wish I had a couple of them

Lots of different bikes. None of us had bad bikes at all, though some of us took better care than others. Lots of fun. I know I took videos of us riding the ramp at my house. I remember Brenden doing this no footed can-can flyout and trying to kick the other Brendan in the head in the process.

My riding buddy and I were always serious about our components. Redline RL-20IIs, 401s, Forklifters, Skyway Tuffs or Peregrine 48s.
My youngest brother was also quite serious - Haro Master with Group 1 cranks, Peregrine 48s, etc.

When we were real young and into racing, I can remember these.
Me-Huffy, but with some cool parts at least, handed down from my cousins.
Steve-Mag Scrambler, then a chrome Hutch Expert Racer, then a white Pro Racer.
Jeff- Mongoose, then a black/gold Redline
Dave- Roger DeCoster (then cars)
Joe-Race Inc, a gold one
Larry- MCS
Billy-PK Ripper
John K- Diamondback
Mike-Redline
Kyle-Haro Master, maybe and 84-85. I had never heard of one until he got his. Mostly white-blue
Soon after Kyle got his Master is when we got into freestyle, I got a white/green/orange Trick Star
My cousin Jeff got a pink Trick Star with 20 different pinks on it, LOL. He ordered all the parts through a mail-order place ad in BMXA. Hutch pink F/F, CW pink bars, a different pink seat, different pink brakes, lol. He didn't realize until it all showed up. It looked cool though.
Guy-all white Tick Star
Steve kept the Pro Racer till he got out of it.
Most of the others got into motocross and cars then.
Me and Jeff got Haros in 87. I got a white/black/blue Sport and he got a black/metallic gray Master. My Sport soon got stolen and I got enough insurance money to get a Team Sport.
Then meeting some other people that rode in high school,
John had a GT Pro Performer, then a Master
Joe had a CW, then a super nice red/chrome General Oz Pro.
Chris had some GTs, I mostly remember a blue Pro Performer for the longest time
Thom had a few but mostly a Skyway which he still has with my single pinch Flights on it and gold DX pedals, that I got from a guy named Chris who had them on an old Schwinn Sting that he raced years before. I still don't remember why I sold or traded them to Thom, or for what, but he still has them.
Jim had a cool black 88 GT Pro Performer.
Dug had a million bikes, mostly rode a GT from what I remember though.
another Jim had a Schwinn freestyle bike that was pretty cool.
This guy Bob had a Kuwahara Bravo I think (which I have he chrome bars from) and he then got an Ozone.
There were others, but in the end it was me with my Sport that I eventually switched out to a Master frame in about 92-93 that I still ride today, John with the Master, Joe with the General, Chris with the GT and Thom with the Skyway. Me and Thom still have our bikes, I had Joe's General in my garage at my parents house for the longest time until he moved to Florida and took it with, Chris threw almost all of his old stuff away a couple years ago when his parents moved and his old house was torn down, and I haven't seen John in years, so I don't know about his bike.
I know Chris picked up a Hoffman something or other in the 90's while we were out of contact and he still has that. When I found him on myspace after years of not keeping in touch, when he found out I was still really into bikes he said he would have given me all his old stuff, he just didn't know. That's when he gave me those old Kuwie bars. He had them on the Hoffman for a while but eventually switched them out, so he had them at his own house.
Now I have to go build replica bikes of all of these, lol, yeah, I wish.

Had some pix of some of those bikes and friends from my post. I've posted all these before, but they fit in with the thread, to put some faces and bikes with the names up there.
This is Thom, Joe with the General, Chris with the GT who gave me the Kuwie bars, and me with the Misfits bangs.
Here's Thom's Skyway with my old cranks and pedals as of a year or so ago.

Here's him jumping it years ago, in the early 90's I'm sure.

Joe on my Sport, after I had cracked the team frame and had it replaced with this one, and for some reason I must have sold my Peregrine cranks. I can't remember why I rode these 1-pc again for a while before I eventually bought some flights.

Guy on his white TS way back then, bailing on a Miami Hopper, lol!

Me on my old TS before I sold it to get my first Haro, the white/black/blue one.

My Master just about as it was during most of the 90's and until last summer. About 96-97, I bought some double pinch flights for it which I have since put on a Redline, but other than the cranks and seatpost on it in this pic, this is how it was for a long time.

This is how it looks today, but with a green/black seat now. Can you believe that lavender top Gyro cable has lasted somewhere around 15-16 years now. It's got a couple frays on one side, but it's still hanging in there. I want to switch it out but I just can't bring myself to do it. Granted I don't ride like I did in the 80's/early 90's, but it has definitely been used plenty.

Most of my friends had a basic set up that they stuck with for years but a few of us were always changing stuff up. I only bought one complete bike and I just straded my way up the ladder. Here is the best I can remember.
Me,
85 Hutch white Windstyler(bought at a closeout sale in 87)
Traded the Windstyler frame and fork for aRadberry 86 RL 20 II F&F for a kid just beat it to death(late 87
Retired the RL and bought a Black 88 Sport F&F(new)
Traded that F&F for a 89 Bashgaurd Master in Early 90. By the Time I got done with it that bike was SWEET! Every part was used But here is the parts list. And it eventually got stolen
89 Master F&F
Redline 401's(Traded a Darton Bow for a Redline race bike that had the cranks on it.
Redline Forklifter Bars
GT Mallet Stem
RL Edge Wheels
Pitbull and Nippon Brakes w/ Tech 7 levers
Can't remember the rest
Ian
87 Dyno D-tour(Stolen)
87 Dyno Pro Comp
Bully frame & Fork
Kip
86 Kuwi Bravo I think
87 Sport
88 Master F&F
Mike Corley
Mike changed bikes like he changed underwear. LOL
85 Pro Performer
86 RL 20 II(same F&F that I later got) I returned it to him 2 years ago and it now hangs in his office at Eastern Bikes
88 Haro Sport
DiamondBack Tailwhip and several other Bashgaurd bikes I can't even remember them all. LOL
Scott
85 Pro Performer
87 Pro performer
Shawn
85 Master
87 Master
87 General RL Pro
88 Team Sport
Shannon
85 sport
87 Sport
That was our core group of guys. All of the bikes are MIA except for a few parts and pieces left.
