Can someone tell me the type of paint you use on the letters if you repaint them. I tried enamel but for some reason the paint wouldn't dry. Please let me know when you find time.

As you've discovered, enamel paints will not dry on vinyl or rubber products. Im sure the originals were done with tampo printing or something of that nature; but your best best of replicating this lies in a bottle of acrylic paint from your local hobbyshop. Testor's Acryl would be the one I'd recommend. It is the most durable whereas others such as Gunze or Tamiya will come off easily, even windex will wash those away instantly. Keep in mind gloss paints will be very translucent whereas a flat (matte) paint will give you better coverage.
