All Star Bike Shop is looking good this year, looking foward to seeing some of Brandon's teammates in Raleigh this weekend.

I went to CCBMX parents meeting last night. WOW they have some cool things planed for this year. I think they are doing it right and the fruits of there labor are going to show this year. I think they are going to have great weather this weekend and a great turnout.

I don't know what happen to the last thread. I looked one day and it was locked. I tried to ask vintage why it was locked but they did not know, so I figured that we could just start a new one. I hope this one stays unlocked.

hey Pinch-a-loaf, I didn't det to comment on your new avatar before the last thread was locked. but Not knowing your level of proficiency as a pilot, I wanted to ask you this; Are you IFR rated? And if so do you trust me? I manage a work center that maintains navaids and ATC radio for a living. You know ILS, VOR etc. Oh well, just a gee wiz.

We'll try next sat. on the gate. I will do it myself. And yes i am AWS certified.

We will do our best for sure! I love seeing planes find runway threshold in all conditions. It's total job satisfaction...or else!

AWS is a welding certifacation. The only thing i know about planes is they have small bottles

So is Saturday 2/16/08 a workday/practice? Brandon has a new cruiser he want's to try out if we don't go to Gastonia for the State Qualifier.

You need to call the TO to see if there is going to be practice..

I hope we start racing soon. Looks like the other tracks are getting a head start. Talked to Ericka today and he has some pretty good ideas for the track. I sure hope all the board members work together.

What do you mean by the last statment? ("I sure hope all the board members work together.") My wife is on the Board and Mr. Erick just flat out refuses to talk to her and me. We have tried to work together, but he will just not let us help. I think your story is a bit one sided. If you would like to PM I would be more that happy to talk to you.

I wasn't pointing a finger at anyone. I'm not in that circle but i can see the friction. Like i said i hope everyone works together and would like to hear some ideas from everyone else.

I agree with you. I hope everyone can communicate with each other and be open to other peoples ideas. It starts with the people on the parents asso. being able to talk to each other and right now it is not there. If they cant talk, how can what few riders we have now expect this race season to be fun. Isn't that what we all are doing this for? And i think that if the people that come to the track don't have fun they will not come back. I hope all of this can and should be resolved soon. Lets face it, no one is getting payed, so why should it be so hard.

Its not like its the indy racing league.

Its simple.

Swipe card, an adult checks info and prints sheets, Brads wife does a great job.

Adult waters and grooms track, Eric does a great job.

Adult announces, Forget the name but he does a great job.

3 adults watch turns, Volunteers anyone?

Adult runs conssesions, This person also does a great job.

Every one smiles and has a good time.

How can there be "FRICTION"?

Because there are adults involved. I do think it will work out though.

Tuesday, March 4 will be our first practice of the season from 6 pm until 8 pm.

Our first race will be on Friday, March 7. Registration is from 6 pm until 7:30 pm. Entry fee is $10.

Cool, hopefully I will have two new faces coming to practice on Tuesday, one 12 year old, and a 36 year old that raced BITD.

Nice to hear that things are getting underway in Burlington For 08. Although, I don't think we'll be up there as much as we have been historically, we'll still try to get out there as much as we can.

That's understandable Shawn, you have a lot of irons in the fire at the moment, but when you are there, remember we still have an agreement when we race...ha ha

I just got a new schedule from work and now I am able to make it to the race on the 7th. I was just wondering how many "old guys" are planning make it out for our 1st race. I don't want to have to race a bunch of young whipper-snappers. lol

We plan on being there for opening night.

I'll be racing, although I'm not competition for the "pinchaloaf"

Besides, the coin will decide who's going to the main (gotcha Mike)

What do you mean did I see it... That was me flying the plane. lol Just kidding. He did a great job of going around and making back in. My hat is off to the crew.

I'm sure they had fresh supply of underwear for all of the passengers waiting in the terminal. That pilot is one cool customer no doubt for even attempting the landing on that pass.

I bet the bars in the terminal filled up quick with passengers from that flight.

I just got back from working on the track. (Looking good) Now we just have to do our ant-rain dance to keep the rain away till after the race. Hope it works.

I was just wondering if any would like to come to the track tomorrow (Sun.) and help me work on the track? I am working on the drainage problem we have on the track. I want to get rid of lake Burlington BMX. LOL I have most of the digging done but if I could have a couple more people it would help out a ton. Plus, if i don't get done then the riders will have some big ditches to jump over on Tue.
