My Joe Kid DVD skips like crazy and has since I got it. Anyone else have this issue?
agentheinz
I wanna say mine had a couple blips, but it's been a while...excuse to watch it again, LOL...

Back to the bike...yeah, there's the cover bikes from that DVD...they gotta be SOMEWHERE, even if it turns out they were recycled.

Matter is never really destroyed, it just changes form.
Profiler
sheesh, I built that same bike back then. But I did a nice silver/blue fade
on it. Didn't we ALL have Joe Kid's Stingray?

And wasn't that the point?

You still see NOS Ashtabula forks on ebay. finding one of those would work well for you. Ashtabula forks came with a long steer tube that has a a long thread segment on it. They were cut to fit when installed. So they fit a wide variety of makes and head tube spacings. (Though I believe Sting Rays have a 5" head tube spacing.) finding a used fork to restore can mean the steer tube has already been cut but for what spacing? So try and find yourself an NOS one. Then you'll just need to decide what type you want. Stamped or unstamped. wink.gif

Sodbuster, that orange bike is the best! I almost bought an orange 75 Scrambler in 75, but went with the silver.

I think that they are either 24" or 26" Schwinn forks from a middleweight bike, almost the same as Ashtabula. I assume to raise the cranks because the bikes were so low slung.

The picture sure looks like ten speed though...

I just measured some forks off of a 26" middleweight and the look like about the right size. Hmmmm....I think my little Schwinny may get a facelift...

I just picked up some super funky chrome bars with no crossbar and they are absolutely flat with zero sweep...I can't tell which side is front or back.
