HI all , I have 2 bikes a early haro zippo and an 84 goose. I have some junk on the zippo and polished it with some good chrome polish. It shines like new however the mongoose when polished doesn't shine at all. It really doesn't look like the same type chrome as the haro. It also has some scuffs like someone tried to use steel wool on the down tube to clean it . Any info would be cool

Thanks
Motor City Mongoose
Chrome is the type of finish on the metal, just like paint or powder.

Chromoly is the type of steel used in the construction of the tubing used to build the bike. Kinda like Pine & Oak are used in furniture.

Your Mongoose is chrome. Depending how hard of a life it has lived, the chrome may or may not polish out well. Search the forums for a very detailed step-by-step guide by Ted Carl, he is the master of all things polished.
