Full Version: My Gt Score(hutch Content)
I just picked up this Santa Ana GT. I believe it is a junior as it has a Euro bottom bracket and small tubing. The serial # is DT435G. It is odd to me that the serial # is on the bottom bracket as opposed to the drop out. All of my other GTs are on the drop out. This bike is in great survivor shape with chrome Sugino cranks, MKS pedals, Powerlite bars, mini DK stem and best of all PERFECT chrome Ukais with Hutch hubs. All for only $60! Any idea of the year?
Sorry I can't help you with the year (maybe 1984 due to the 4 in the serial number?) but for $60, that's an awesome score!
Couldn't beat it for the money even if it is a mini! The wheels are in incredible condition. Wish I had a Hutch to put them on! May end up on my Patterson or Phase 1
I'm thinking its an 81-82. I had an 81 and was exact.

the early years were on the inside of the drive side dropout.

I'm wondering if that serial was stamped by someone else. It should be were Steve said, however I've seen serial #less GT's. That frame is an 81-82. I'll bet ya.
