This just came to me while looking at some old pictures. I remember racing with a single toe clip on my right pedal for those one footed starts. Out of all the builds I've seen on this site, I've never seen anyone slap a clip on. Did anyone else ever use one???

Huh, no one??? I guess that explains why I always had the holeshot. wink.gif

I would not have dreamed of running a toe clip on my solo bike BITD. I used this toe clip on my hack just to keep my foot on the pedal in left turns when I hung off.

My now brother-in-law, Jon Anderson, ran very shallow toe clips when he was around 10,11, or 12. That was back in the late 70s.

Rad Photo!!! I was your brother-in-laws age when was I running it as well. My Father and I were always trying new things to make the bike lighter, improve gear ratios, and starting techniques to get me from point A to point B before the competition. As I remember, we found more things that didn't help than things that did, rolleyes.gif but discovery was half the fun!

I remember Jon Anderson running them back in the day. He ran both of them also.
