I figured I'd post this dog in here to see what you fellas though of the bike. I got me an 85 Beat from Ginny's a while back and decided to build it up. Im going with an orange/white theme. Heres the progress I have so far. Let me know what you think fellas.

Here's the orange parts to be in all their naked glory

After a lil primer

weshole
A lil bit of white base

And finally, the color goes down

I will update my progress as I get the stuff done.

All the paint was done by Eric Pride. A fellow member of this forum. I will say, his work is top notch and he was VERY reasonable on the price. So, if your in the market for a lil color work...keep this man in mind. I know he will be getting all my work.

*EDIT* I tried to post alot more pics of the progress but it said I was not able to post so many. Is there a reason for that? I read the rules of the site and found nothing stating it. Can anybody help?

Nice. Custom work is very gratifying. Keep us updated.

I think you only get 8 "special dealies" in a post. Pics, italics, bold, smiley, quotes, etc. are 'special dealies'. When more than 8 is necessary you have to break up the post and do multiples.

Compose the entire post, then cut and paste it in smaller segments into a succession of posts to make it all near-continuous without people coming in and discussing between posts.

That's a really cool looking color! Post more as you get more of it built.

I'm stoked. I always wanted a Dayglo orange bike. I should see the bike in a few days to start the build/final parts gathering process.
weshole
Well here's a little update. Semi assembled.

That looks like a real deal ACS 55 stem to me. " ACS" will not be stamped on it anywhere, so being that it is stamped "Polygon" - it is most likely an ACS stem.

Really? I was under the impression that Polygon made wannabe or copies of the ACS stem and seeing as how mine had Polygon stamped on it, that's what it was... a "copy". This news makes me a little bit more excited. It was the only real "generic" (for lack of a better term) part on the whole bike thus far. So if that's the case then..... WHO MADE WHO? <----(SWEET QUOTE) Acs make for polygon or Polygon make for Acs?
weshole
Anybody know?
