Well I called the guy I bought this from and he said he bought this bike late 85 early 86. The original stickers were black writing with blue outline and the center of the letters were dropped out so the chrome showed through, he said he changed them in 87 because all the "cool" kids did it, I'll take his word for it... well this frame does not have the gusset behind the BB and the fork legs do not go past the dropouts like my later 80's model CC did. I made a few changes with the seat ( the uni would not hold my fat butt) and put a longer DK on it. I really like this bike....

From my favorite era of bikes. Awesome build.

Love the pro class rims.

I am not sure what is more special, the build or the Public Image Limited poster it is resting on. Vintage 80's!

Although they're far past my era, I've always liked Cycle Craft bikes.

I dig The Damned poster even more than the PiL!

Great parts and a color scheme that works. It gets my vote for survivor of the year, so far anyway.

i'm looking for the same stem for my Boss Primetime

I was watching that one; that's a great bike all around. Would have loved it BITD! As well as now. Cool score!

I got lucky that ebay yanked the auction, the guy sold it to me for way less then I bid. He did not want anymore hassle. And I was only 25 miles away from him so quick cash. But he said he got more then he ever expected. I just wish it had the original stickers, the ones that are on it over 20, so I guess semi- orig. LOL

Now I am being told it might be a late 84 early '85 because of the lack of the brace behind the BB and the way the brake bridge is welded. But I guess I will wait on a confirm from Betty M.

I had a friend that ordered a cyclecraft back in late 85 and that was a response to a small ad in the back of the magazine.

I am more surprised to see a chrome frame and fork (especially this early) as I am pretty sure that when my pal ordered his, they were only available in "custom paint". I know for sure that there were chrome f/f sets but they were said to be for factory riders. Either way, you have a sweet bike there! When I re-entered the bmx world after a 10 year break, I ordered up my own cyclecraft in green. The steering is a bit quick for my taste but otherwise its a sweet ride!

We'll the guy whou owned it bought it from a shop and LBS owners daughter was a C0-Factory rider, so maybe?

Thanks for posting Jim! That is one sweet bike!

My friends 85-86ish f/f had the same decals except his were black background with green around the lettering with all white paint.

If I could find some of those decals, I would clone mine to look like that smile.gif ..........

all you need is the pink helmet that's on the 12 inch bike to your right....
