I have a set of early Skyway IIs with the steel flanges. 1st off I am looking for the correct set of rivites to repair them. Secondly, I want to convert them to free wheel. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

The technique for the rivets is known as spin riveting and will have to be done professionally. I'm pretty sure thats right. Most people use bolts. It would be cheaper and easier to sell the wheel and find a new one. You can convert it to freewheel but again the same thing applies. Find another wheel.

I really didn't want to say it, but he's right. There's too few og coaster tuffs
out there already. Please consider a trade with someone. Or a sale
for the $ to buy a fw version.

You might have already tried it, but give the 'forsale/trade/ forum
another go. It's worked wonders for me and others.

Thanks for the help! I think I will put them up for sale. I want free wheel versions.

I hope this turns out to be a nice save! cool.gif

You could always buy a brand new set form ColoredTuffs and have the best of both worlds. Heck, but the Graphite ones and be done with it. I am sure someone could come up with a workable solution but then again, it takes $ for progress or fortitude.
