hey guys anyone ever re chrome a set of mx 1000 if so how do you get the rivet back on the quick realese or what kind of rivet is used after the rechroming is done ??

I believe you must grind off the rivet that holds on the quick-release in order to remove it, if that is necessary.
To replace it, I suppose you would have to put on a bolt-on quick-release or barrel adjuster, making it look obviously altered, unless you could find a NOS replacement that was never punched into an arm?? Not too sure about that...

I don't know what your options are; whether you can leave it on, or some realistic way of restoring it back to new, or buffing some painted ones to a chromelike finish, or just hunting down some pricey original ones with good chrome.
Good luck.
