This was a CL score that a BMXMuseum member picked up and shipped for me. biggrin.gif
It looked like this

Original seat

A little cleaning up & a few swapped parts later and it's ready to ride.

I'm very happy with the way it came out, lots of original parts.
*special thanks to MNW (Mike) for the front cable.

Sweet score!!!!!!! High seat!!!!!!!!! lol

I always loved those bikes and the decals made it look so clean.
Axlepeg
Exactly. Friggin' sweet.

I've got issues with the seat, too, though. To make it look nice and functional I'd probably drop the post at least 3 inches, tip the nose of the seat up maybe 3/4". Definately remove and re-install the seatguts so they're tucked up underneath, instead of below the seat.

That's all it'd take, IMO...a couple small adjustments...and that bike looks so rockin' the hizz-ouse...

Nice, Joe. wink.gif

Edit*
I'm back. Couldn't help myself.

Pauly
That looks great! I'm really digging the original survivor look with the cw bars and z-rims. I agree with Josh, lower that seat man! If you weigh much more than a buck and a quarter you're going to bend that post like a pretzel.

Great score!

And the all time most asked question - what did you pay? smile.gif

$300

Stephen, do you recognize the seat post? You should smile.gif

Thanks for the compliments and makeover.

About the height of the seat, I just hate to scuff up posts by lowering them but I do agree it needs to go down a bit. I also will adjust the seat guts. It's funny after not messing with bikes for 20 years you forget some of the details.
MNW
Great looking bike Joe.

Glad i could help. smile.gif

Spray some WD-40 down in the frame and clean it out with a soft/medium bristle brush and then put a little motor oil on the post itself, and it should slid in nice, and with out scratches.

Awesome find ! I have one as well I picked up on eBay years ago and I got it relatively cheap . that chrome one is just sick.
Average Joe
I decided to get some Peregrines and go with the stock look.

Nighthawk
Joe that looks absolutely AWESOME. Love the Peregrines on it too. BTW I do have decals coming your way, I don't know if Mike informed you but I've been having print company issues, I've finally found a new place so should be very soon.
