This might be a good think to ask Ryan Partridge.

August 1988 BMXA Mike Savage on the cover clicked.

Dave Clymer interview pages 72-75

Big text "Most of the time I'm outta control" cool.gif

Big pic leathered out threads and #36 Moto Control plated TNT

I'm on page 19 with a mention where I scored Gork's CW ex-freestyle bike. laugh.gif

What you need with it?

Hey is that Mike Savage the same Mike Savage that I race from the northeast here(RI, Conn. or Mass. ?) He's 40 and I guess he used to be some big factory guy BITD I hear from locals here in my area. Mike's a cool guy, we race tha same kind of bike(S&M .38). he travels out here to our tracks for the bigger races. Last time he was here was our little Halloween race, lol. I wonder if it's the same guy as you mentioned? Got's tons of manualling skill and he's pretty fast. I feel bad I cut the guy off in the last turn at the Quaker State Nat's this past year.

Here is a pic of Mike and I this past summer. He should get a life time achievement award from the NBL. That cat has never stoped racing from 1980!

Yep that's him. I have never raced NBL. We are going to have a new indoor ABA track in Binghampton done by end of April I heard. So next year we can race year round. Bet that brings Mike out for the 4 hour drive. I don't race clips either

Both of them did some traveling. Mike Segrist is a cop in Bridgeport now. Still races every Tuesday night along with Savage. It was cool to come back to racing and find out that Savage still was in the mix

Old-skull.

Sorry, I don't have any 1988 BMXActions. I have some of 87 and I think all of 89.

I would love to get my paws on that issue and give er a good scan though...
