still need a rear brake andchange out the seat.
Secret Spin
Very sharp. Looks just like how you would of seen them then. I have seen a lot of flatlander bikes with one-piece cranks in the 90's. I wouldn't really consider the seat too era incorrect, just seems like the wrong kind. What kind of saddle was most common for flatland bikes during the year of your Daddy? Would it have been the Primo Steroid or is even that one too new?
CaptCanuck
I usually rode GT seats. thats what I have on my shorty. the haro seat was just for the pic.
koenning
that is very nice, i always wanted one of those for some reason.
Wheelie Nelson
Me too.
A chrome one.

Diggin the Peregrine bars on that thing.
CaptCanuck

nice big daddy!the seats most people used those days was cutoff gt's 2188's the ones that came out in '88,and that continued to come stock on gt's of different levels until around 96.the rear brake of course is the 990.that was the only one used then, and I think the only one available as well, the elusive 996 was almost nowhere to be seen.the primo seat came out in 1996,this frame looks 94-95 ish, although the 96 looks just like this too.the q bars have just the right bend too.one piece cranks were totally popular in the 90's because a)there was a budget situation, and b,they were lightweight and basically maintenance free, and frankly, unless you ride an euro frame,a 3 pc crank for flat is kinda superfluous, and the midschool was not superfluous at all.no frills even!LOL,remember this was the grunge era!
CaptCanuck
Hey Junior! thanks for the compliment. Yes 'll be using a GT seat when I find another. I'm really liking the newer Datech hombre these days for brakes.
Alan told me this is probably a 95 frame. it has the flat box behind the BB not the roundish one like My chrome frame had.
DitchWeed
Nice ride! I've been coveting Mikkopeters Big dady since I saw it!

BTW, Is that a mid school GT chainwheel?
Rev.Lucky
what kind of tires are those? i cant really tell.
nice build by the way it's very nice.
CaptCanuck
Tires are Haro. not sure on the ssge of the GT Chainwheel. all I know is it looks cool.

thanks for the compliments.

if you enlarge the pic you can see the dropout has almost no paint left on it.

gonna redo the frame in the spring.
CaptCanuck
