So, my parents are in town from Ohio for a week and much to my surprise (NOT!) they brought a couple MORE boxes filled with relics from my childhood and earlier if you can believe that. I am sure my mother is not the only one that kept every piece of clothing, toy, knick-knack, and school paper from my childhood but every once in a while there is something in there that makes me smile and brings back some very fond memories. Case in point...one beautifully preserved 1981 Bicycle Motocross Action MOST FACTORY MAGAZINE shirt. Enjoy!

That's excellent.

Where in OH were you from? Wondering if we may have raced together BITD.

Chris,

I grew up in Chillicothe and I raced mostly around central OH from 81-87. My regular tracks were West Jefferson, Hilliard (winter), the track on Winchester Pike on SE side of Columbus (what was the name of that track?), Kettering, Hamilton, and Lagonda in Springfield. I am 38.

Wow, I am 37 and raced some of those tracks alot. Although, by 84/85 we were doing a decent number of nationals. But, I always hit the West Jeff state races, went to Kettering quite a bit, and raced almost all the time at Hilliard. Seems like I have a ton of pic from Brookville over by Springfield as well.

What class were you? By 82/83, I ws running Expert and by 84 was also racing a cruider.

I had that exact same jersey and raced in it.. Very cool..

Alan:

If you were so inclined, I bet that a new run of jerseys just like that (in much larger sizes, of course) would be a huge hit for this site.

What do you say? If you think it would be cool, please email or PM me so we can discuss.
