I lived at that track but now it’s a lumber yard wacko.gif - Times they are a changing. But when I stopped in for some 2x4's I seen a couple of old pictures on the wall, one was me and Rob Elliot and the other was Jeff Pluchuck (sp?) and the announcer guy who's name escapes me. He was also a Teacher at Havel Elementary School.

I still remember my first (1981) BMX Race there like it was yesterday.. I showed up so unprepared, I had a rented Helmet blink.gif and was sporting blue jeans and a long sleeve shirt.. blink.gif

Forever in bluejeans! Ha ha ha

I raced at Bogie East in blue jeans quite often. ha ha

I loved that place. John's Lumber must do a decent business...they've been there since Bogie closed.

Tom McMillan was the announcer you mentioned. He came out for Kelly Burnette's memorial race a few years back.

I can't remember which magazine (Plus or Action) did a write up on Bogie East. Maybe somebody can post it as I know I have seen it on this site before.

Thanks, I would have never rememeber his name and to be honest I still don’t recall it but I’ll take your word for it. I also did a search on the site to try and find it but no luck, maybe someday..

But on a brighter note I did buy my step kids a couple of mini’s last year and they both want to try and race so I went out and bought myself a left over Red Line Cruiser – why should they have all the fun.

Waterford Oaks BMX is probably the closest track to you. www.waterfordoaksbmx.com or Can-AM BMX or Richfield Park BMX which are both off of I-69.

www.mibmx.com should have the links for the other two tracks. Hope to see you and your kids out at the track riding this spring. Look me up if you have any questions or just want to say hi, it's always great to meet board members.

I work about 3min From Waterford Oaks! So the kids and I will be at the track every practice day till we are ready, but I think I'll need the most work. LOL.

I have been out to Richfield before to race the FairCross and seen the track and I'm sure we will be going there to.
