Parents Bicycle motocross [please review the site FAQs].-- I raced Berm Busters from their first event which was cooold!!!!!!
Remember that big [please review the site FAQs] hole in the ground they had? It was almost always closed cause it was a mud pit. Where are all the guys who used to race the KC area. BMX brigade, Blue Hills, Calvin and Lora's, Jameson Enterprises, Ttrack Ttwo, Harris Park? Anybody ever race the old Downs arena? Remember Eddie B. and the IBMA races out there?

It was still listed with the ABA. Did it close?? to_take_umbrage.gif

Raytown no way. probably the best track around here right now.
calvinw
2 tracks in KC right? biggrin.gif
Or is there more?
Weazel
Right now its just Raytown and Blue Springs. Raytown's having a race w/ some "special events" this Saturday for those that want to come, more details on the site.. Raytownbmx.org. I agree w/ splinter on Raytown being the best around right now, but then again i'm biased since I helped Vince out at the beginning of the season to get the track there this year and Vince has done an awsome job at keeping the track up to par this year. I always hear compliments from riders and parents alike. Can't wait to see whats up his sleeve for next season smile.gif As for the older tracks..... I'm to young to have raced Bermbusters but my brother used to race there and i remember watching, he said they also used to hold events at the old Benjiman ranch off Hillcrest and 87th but i don't remember those.

Eddie B./Ed Bondurant runs a Sign/Print Shop in Riverside.
That is where I met Doug Prather, Downs Arena 1979, fast Kansas rider.
Ed got pushed out by riders wanting to build there points with the ABA.
Then he produced this...........

I raced BMX in the Kansas City area, would have been real late 70's and early 80's. My name is Kris White, don't know if any of you remember me or not. I recognize a lot of the names in that picture down the thread. I live in Las Vegas now and my son just started racing so I bought a cruiser and am going to start racing again myself. Should be fun, it has got me taking a trip down memory lane. Hit me up if you remember me.

Im from Il, I raced the blue springs track in 94 and won gold cup as a 12I. I loved that track, I swept the whole weekend. The next year they had started having the gold cup in sedalia, cool, but not as cool as blue springs. - josh

Hey Calvin,
