Brian P is coming in and he wants to do some riding. Feb 10 (Sunday) we`re getting together here in Orlando. We don`t know what or where but he wants to ride. I`m sure Stephan will be here but who else? Jamie......were are you?!?!?!?! If Jamie shows up I`m sure we`ll have some riders, possibly Kip Williamson? I live 5 minutes from Mission skate park so thats a thought. Maybe ride the free park near Fashion Square then ride to downtown then back to our cars at the park?

Hey Lou!! Yeah, I'm up for riding! I'm sure that Kip and Wayne would be up for it too. Actually, this past saturday we had 7 riders at Kip's riding spot behind the Walgreen's on Haratio in Maitland/ Winterpark. It's a great concrete retail lot that is dead on Sunday's. We should meet there for flatland riding. I can get with kip to make sure he's up for it, but I'm sure he will be.

Lou - I consider myself a part-time/occassional Florida rider ...but can't make the 10th. I will be down in July or August this summer for a couple of weeks. I am driving down this time so I will bring my bike with me. Any chance of organizing a riding session in the summer as well?

I could probably make it, especially if we're up visiting my wife's folks in Winter Park that weekend. We're in Citrus County, just an hour and a half out so we get down there pretty often. I'm guessing it'll be during the day...gotta go home Sunday nite to get to work Monday, grrr...

I'll warn everyone I am teh suk at flatland, and heck just about everything these days but I love riding. And of course hanging out with other old dudes with bikes and BSing. I'd be up for a trip to a park out there for sure, haven't been to any over there except Vans, and just for skating so far. Heck, maybe I'll bring my stick too...

Very cool, Agent is in. Looks like we`ll have riders so the day should be great. If we decide to go more than one place we can all pile in my brothers cargo van so we won`t have a bunch of cars getting lost. lol. The place Jamie said is a bike ride from my house but I`d like to do more than just flatland. I too suk at it but then again I haven`t freestyled since the 80`s. I need to put a 20" together otherwise I`m on a cruiser. Riding or BSing.......we`ll still have fun.

Yeah Lou, any kind of riding scenerio would be cool. I recommend a flatland session for a little while, then head to Mesh to ride the park. Sounds like a fun gathering no matter what.

No BBQ, just a day of riding. If we`re hungry we`ll get a bite to eat where ever we`re at. I remember bitd I`d ride the track untill lunch then ride to Fashion for some wall riding then go back to the track for the races. Those were the days. Imaging if we can do that TODAY. lol.

Hoffman's show ended over a year or so ago. I thought that was a show that was also going to be there for a while, but I guess not

It might be booked for the Daytona 500, which is just days after the 12th. It is their 50th Anniversary.

What Attractions are you and your family hitting?

I rode with Kip this past weekend again and he's totally down to ride that weekend. Again, We are mostly concentrating on flatland, but we have alot of old guys down here that are making great efforts to keep getting together regularly, so we could have several riders in the "jam".

Lou, we should try and shoot for getting together at the spot I mentioned by the Walgreens. Then, it's only a few miles to get to Mesh for a ramp session for the guys that want to hit that.

Would love to get up there to ride, aint makin no promises tho

Go to HWY 50 and head east to you see the small airport. There is a park there near Fashion Square.

Lou, per Kip, orlando has stopped allowing bikes at the concrete municipal skatepark, unfortunately. Mesh will be the closest alternative. It's actually better though because they have a great outdoor bowl and half pipe too.

personally, i wouldnt mind just hanin in a parking lot BSing and trying to ride some flat, maybe take a cruise around and ride some street? ive never actually been to the city of orlando, just to the parks. and i dont mean sk8parks....LOL

id probably not ride a park if we went just due to the fact that i will be far from home and on vacation and that would make for a crappy vaca!

Yeah, I see what he is saying - he can ride a park anytime, but to ride in a City that he is not from is different.

That is why I had the thoughts of treating this like the New York ride...

So wez we meetin and what time, so i know what kind of breakfast i need to eat for that mornin and what bike to bring, I won't be doing any stunts that day, i'll be part of the bsing crew in the back;.;.;.;.

If I make it, I'm bringing my new school ride. Actually, that's the only 20 inch complete I have right now! And yeah, I'll just be ridin'. I don't want to lug my helmet and whatnot around and I'm still trying to shake the dust off these old bones, LOL...besides, I have to baby these cranks, the splines are wearing down and there's a lot of play in them. I have new ones ordered, but seems they won't be available until the middle of February.

I gotta check as the date gets closer...but Agent Orange MAY be playing in Orlando that night at the Back Booth. I'd like to see that. But their page also says they're in Cocoa Beach that same night, same time...hmmm...

I`ll call Brian P this weekend and get better details on time wise but right now it sounds like we`re going to do something right after lunch on Sunday. Don`t know exactly where we`ll ride. Maybe we`ll meet at my house then go from there? Maybe we meet downtown Orlando parking lot and ride the whole downtown? It`s smaller than you think Brian. lol. We all agree no skateparks and no broken bones. I don`t know how long we can kidknap Brian P from his family so lets do something.

What do you need? I got 48 spline Profile types, hardened chromoly, if that is what you need. It is the spindle used most these days, and is on several crank sets out there. I can hook you up, let me know.

RL---it's the actual cranks---an Industry set I bought a few years back. And maybe the spindle too, a bit. Coming loose constantly plus a 200 lb guy riding took its toll.

This time I'm going with the new Mosh Digital 2 set because I'm digging the 6 spline/pinchbolt design. I never had any luck with pinchless cranks. Even with Loctite!

Friday night is cool. That plan sounds good to me Brian.

Thats so funny. Everyone is using the same cast arms. That Mosh is just a Redline® Monster™ crank. It is also Torkers® crank set, and GT® made one as well. It is all the same spindle, hardware and all.

I have some of the Torkers®, Chrome, NOS, with everything needed, just add a sprocket.
