Full Version: Can You Help Me Identify What Model Hutch I Have?

So I got this Hutch from a friend a while back, and I can't figure what model it is. The dropouts look different than any Hutch I remember, but I am by no means an expert on BMX bikes. I used it as a winter bike while I was in school, so that is why it has funky fenders. The only other thing I can tell you about the bike that you may not be able to see in the pics is that it had (I have them on another bike now) 3 piece profile cranks, and I think it has suzie hubs.

Sorry about the pics. I just realized that I did not get a pic of the whole bike which is currently at my parents house, so I can't easily get any other pics.

Here is a link to the pics. Thanks.

I guess that is possible, but it would have had to been built like that since the person I got it from is the original owner and didn't swap out the stem. Was it common for shops to build bikes with parts from various companies?

Thanks.

Not a Hutch me thinks. Check brake bridge, Hutches are stamped "Hutch" there. Looks ELFish maybe??

This has me pretty interested at this point. During my next visit home I will try to get some more pics measurements. I would love to know what this bike is. Thanks for all the help.

When seeing a bike, look at it the way you would when we were kids not the way we would as adults with a fixed mentality. We would put whatever was available and cool at the time; with very few exceptions almost everyone I knew as a kid and later as a bike shop BMX manager picked and chose parts rather than go for the all Hutch, all Redline etc

Oh yeah, I thinks it's a Patty..

I'll say Patterson as well. the older style before the PR200.

Is it worth rebuilding?
Keep_It_Warm
Any Patterson is well worth rebuilding.

i'm in that it's a "pre-GT" Patterson, too.

Heh... you guys are pretty good at this.

That is correct. The bike bike came with the hutch stem and bars. I later put the TNT stem and GT bars on it.

Does anyone know what decal set should have accompanied this bike?

Also, has anyone documented a step by step restoration of a chrome bike?

Thanks again for all the help.
