Think GT components. That's what they came with and who Auburn was under. Dia-compe for brakes. If there's no canti-mounts then 901's calipers would rock.

depends on what year and model it is. as for the parts that went on the bikes in the early 90's... look at gt's corporate build structure

gt mach 1/robinson mx/auburn cr 20 s powerlite p?1 came with:

frame/fork/bars unique to the brand, gt 1 piece crank in 175mm length w/2 piece chainring and gt spider, gt generic stem,gt double caged pedals, earlier ones center was chrome'd plastic middle, later was black plastic, gt plastic seat and clamp with unique stamped seatpost, gt megabite tires and later gt aa pro tires, gt looseball hubs which resembled the flashy-er sealed hubs of the time laced to sun mistral rims and later weinman zac rims, odyssey pitbull brakes, generic lever, a'me grips gt seatclamp single.

gt pro series/ robinson pro/ auburn cr20r / powerlite p51 came with:

frame/fork/bars unique to brand/ gt 1 piece crank with sealed mech bottem bracket. gt padded seat with unique stamped seatpost, gt stem, gt double caged pedals all metal but unsealed, gt sealed mech hubs laced to sun rims and later wienmann, gt megabite tires and later gt aa pro tires, pitbull brakes, dia compe lever,a'me grips. gt seatclamp double clamp

gt pro series TEAM/ robinson TEAM model/ auburn cr20rX/ powerlite p61 came with:

all the best...

frame/fork/bars unique to brand, gt stamped profile 3 piece cranks, with 1 piece machined chainring (later models came with brand specific) gt sealed hubs later hubs, sun rims later switching to Araya SUPER 7x (note these were 32 spoke wheels), gt high end stem, gt padded seat (post still unique to brand, gt megabite tires and later switching to aa pros, odyssey pitbul brake diacompe lever. gt sealed double caged pedals, gt seatclamp double clamp

auburn never had a corporate twin to go with the hi-ten- steel entry level bikes ie gt interceptor/robi rebel/dyno nitro/vfr

show a pic and lets get you some help with sticker placement. or look up the auburn thread.

WOW thanks guys i didnt know to much about this bike as i got out of the sport when i turned 16-17 ...which was like 20 yrs ago...lol so these new companies are not to familar to me....I will post some pics of the auburn....the top tube on the frame has an arch in it going twards the seat stay....if that helps ...i will post the serial number and also ...got any ideas on how to remove the seat post that is stuck?????
rlowride
the bend before the post, indicates an earlier model....
the bend after the sest post is a newer one... when actually taken over by gt..

here is an 88

this is my 94....
just sold..

se the difference in the seat post bend........

auburn had been part of gt long before the bend change. both dyno and auburn were brainchilds of bob morales, but gt distro'd and assembled completes. when it was just a frameset it was just morales.

the bend came about in early 92 some are serialed with a 91 date but its a 92 model year. if memory serves correct.

PLEASE HELP!!!!

Ok guys i have a big problem i was taking the rest of the bike apart to strip the original paint and i get to the frame bolts and well they are pretty rusted...and im afraid to apply to much pressure to them ....real scared of braking them off in the frame...what do i use...i have soaked them with W-
D 40 and still not to much has changed?....any suggestions??????
seann
I had a set of boss cranks that I was REALLY worried about breaking the spider bolt off in the arm. Find a local garage that has a 1/4" allen that can be driven off an impact gun. Have them turn down the regulator on the gun so you don't snap the bolt. The hammering action really helps on stubborn bolts. good luck!
DYNO mite
Seann thanks for the heads up...i will look into that
Profiler
yeah, you're gonna want a low torque hammer action, or like you said, lots
of soaking, then a cheater bar with low pressure over a long period.

It's gonna give or snap. If they are THAT rusted, it might not matter.
I don't know whether those bolts/nuts would be hard to replace but...
ya got what ya got.

Let's see some pics!

I bought a CR20-RX with a snapped bolt back in the late 90's.....All I did was remove the good bolt from the other side then drill it out. It worked perfectly and didn't ruin the threads on the frame. And to replace the bolt is dead easy because they are the same TPI and diameter as a common head stem bolt.
MadCowboy
Sorry for my ignorance because I was out of BMX when these Auburns were around, but do the back part of those frames bolt on? Is that the bolts yall are talking about being stripped? Whats the purpose of this? Does it swivel or something? Sorry again for my ignorance. Ive never seen one in person, just online.
ELF_DUDE
the rear triangle stays stationary no movement it makes rear frame replacement easy for if you where to Bend the rear frame or want a fast change out you could change that whole rear triangle. As for the rusty stuck bolts worse comes to worse you snap it off then you can remove the other side take it to a shop and have them weld a nut onto the end of the broken off piece and put a bit-o-heat to it, Treat it like a manifold stud on a automobile find a good muffler shop and ask them i am sure they will know how to remove it with little or no damage

If you still dont get it out you can send this way I had done lots of that work before as i am a Muffler guy for CAR-X
MadCowboy
I see. So did they make the back triangles in different lengths or is it strictly for repair purposes? I can see how it might be cool if you could switch from a short to a long chain stay or vice versa depending on your preference. I mean, how often do you actually bend or break that part of the frame?
hobbes12
also they came with GT Epoch headset
Rich Soryu
I know that it was their intention to have different lengths rear triangles, but I don't know if they got aroun to doing so.

What style decals are you using? I have saved several pictures for the purpose of knowing accurate decal locations after I get my Auburn powder coated.
DYNO mite
ok sorry it took so long to get these pics done, i have been so busy with work...so anyways here goes.

i got the two allen bolts out of the bottom ...but the top bolt is still very tight so it is still soaking...the seat post is still very stuck!!!

well i cant figure out how to shrink these pics anymore than i already have so if there is someone who can help please pm me!!!! thanks Rob
DYNO mite
