My mid-school cruiser is currently set up with GT stamped Profile cranks and a newer Profile sprocket, but I just bought an old Redline Flight sprocket for it that's being shipped today. Pretty stoked!
I'm sitting here thinking about it, and it dawns on me that my Redline sprocket isn't going to fit on my Profile spindle, is it?
I guess my question is, what are my options? I want that Redline sprocket on the cruiser..
I do have a set of single pinch Redline cranks on a different bike, am I gonna have to use those on my cruiser to run the Redline sprocket?

The Redline sprocket is going to have a smaller hole by a little under 1mm. Just get out the bastard file and rheem it out a little bit. My race buddy Lyle Garrity did that to a 41t redline gear i gave him a few years ago and it's still in action like that on profiles to this day, but on his brother's bike now though. If you are careful you won't get tight spots in your chain. Lyle didn't and he did it during intermission before the mains inna hurry. It's not as scarry as it sounds. sheeeeyitt, a profile's adapter after two gates is more out of round than you will do prolly. lol.

i've used RL sprockets on Profile cranks for eons with no real issues. the only thing i ever had to do was file out the drive-bolt hole a little. between the 2 cranks, the drive bolt boss is welded in a slightly different position. the spindle hole was always fine for me.
