Mike,
Cool pic! I can't tell you how many times I tried to draw like Bob Haro during high school classes. His drawings were unreal. I can also remember silk screening a TW racing logo on one of my shirts in art class. I'd like to see someone make some old school Tshirts. I'd be into that.

I think that is a BMX Action "Hot Shot" photo of Roland Veight on a Mongoose cruiser. I'll research my BMXA's this weekend, and see if I can find the shot.

seeing that i traced it from a mag, would it be copyright infringment if i sold a couple dozen t-shirts with that artwork on them? a former bandmate of mine owns a silkscreening shop right here in town.greg, i'm gonna go with trickstar on this one cuz i don't remember roland wearing those elbow guards and he looks too small to be roland. i could be wrong.....i have been before.

Shouldn't be any copyright infringment on a tracing, it's now your own image. If Andy Warhol didn't get sued for tracing other people's images, I don't think you will.

Nice work Spike. I know I've got to have piles of similar drawings in my parent's attic.
I did a commissioned oil on canvas of an old Oz pic for Glen two years ago too. I thought I had it up on photobucket, but I guess I don't.

Mike I know exactly what that pic is. It's R.L. Osborne riding a Redline PL24 doing a quarter pipe aerial. It's from a Redline PL24 test in an issue of BMXA. Look at the tapered forks, 6" head tube, oval downtube, etc.

Mike and Nighthawk,
Found this issue. It is the centerspread of the May 1983 BMX Action. It is the test of the Redline PL-24, but it is Buff on the Quarter Pipe, not R.L. I'll scan and post the pic tomorrow.

Here it is. I couldn't get the whole pic on my scanner, but most of the rest is just sky.

I finally got the painting I did for Glenn up on photobucket. This isn't a very good pic of the painting, but it's the only one I got before it left the studio.
