I have a set of white ones (kind of yellowed) and was wondering if anyone has ever tried this???

thanks Jon

It's been done many times but numerous members (the most recent really good job was done by Smokin' Endo). It looks great.....BUT....the dust caps need to be painted to match since they are plastic NOT graphite.

Give it a try.....take pics when you do it, we love pics around here!

any suggestions on type of paint, I'm planning on doing the same? Wouldn't dye work on plastic same as with seats?
Chevron Envy
Seats are made of nylon (some type of plastic blend that keeps them flexible) and are porous to accept the dye. The plastic dust caps on MKS pedals aren't porous that way.

If you paint them it would need to be something for Lexan - see radio controlled parts suppliers

Remember the pics! Don't forget.

Are your trying to change the color because they are yellowed? If you want them white again...leave them in the sun for a month or so...... i scored a NOS white (yellowed) kashimax seat, left it in the window for about a month.....its as white as the day it was made... I also scored a Lavender (it turned grey) kashimax seat, i did the same thing with it.... now its a beautiful lavender seat again.

The sun does wonders on yellowed/moldy parts!!!!!

Good luck!
