your local bike shop should be able to order all sorts of display stands (or repair stands). some of them are not cheap, though.

Thank you.

I think your talking about Pyramid brand display stands. I've seen them on Amazon.com for around $8 + shipping.

I've been looking for this stand everywhere. I placed on order with the bike shop that sells them (Niagara Cycle Works). They're located in Buffalo (Lewiston) NY which is about an hour from Toronto (where I live). Shipping cost me more than the part....lol.

$8.49 + $12.02 shipping.

Still cheaper than driving there to get it.

Thanks for the info topbubble.

I just ordered 3 from JR Bicycles yesterday. They were $9.95/each. I was gonna build something or buy the THE stand, but for ease and cost, I couldn't beat 'em. And they just put them in with my other order.

I now carry these after seeing a member here use a similar rack out in Rockford.
A bit pricey, but they work awesome, and look great!

Hi, I was fiddling with my gears this weekend after washing the bicycle. It's very difficult to get it right without a bicycle stand as the derailleur behaves slightly different when upside down.

Anyone got any suggestions for a makeshift bicycle stand for those too poor to buy one?

i made one out of tubing, a metal T pipe, 1 3/4", a door hinge, and a toolbox latch. i cut the t so the top part is in half, welded the hinge on and the latch make it work, and covered the inside with silicon and foam. oh and some metal plate to clamp it into my vise. ill get pics for you later. wink.gif

Just My Opinion,

If you are displaying an OS bike, use the OS center line stand. I saw them on Amazon as well as Porkchop BMX (I bought 4 from Porkchop).

While these work well, don't have your bike anywhere near a heater while sitting on one of these stands. The stand will wear through paint, powder and will crinkle and bubble your downtube stickers if it's touching them. These stands are junk.

I make my own and they work great. Heres a few pics
