I picked up JMC 24 #3 this week, and its an NOS early (1982) black frame and fork. Serial number is 24c184. Super thin bladed forks with different dropouts.
Do I
1) Build it up the way it should be done (top notch).
2) Use it as a really large, nice bookend.
3) Throw it away.
4) Hope Juan throws me a six figure offer on the NOS stuff. Just joking. Its NOT for sale.

I am totally leaning to building it- its a BIKE, for christs' sake.....I also do have a set of NOS FAB bars that would go right with it......

5) Sell one to MoToDoG!!! Damn dude, some of us other members dig JMC 24's Too!! What up?? How the hell do you end up with 3. unbelievable.

ohmy.gif Leave it as is....PLEASE!
They are only NOS once!
There are so few unbuilt NOS framesets left.
And you already have a REALLY sweet one built. (Now I have to change my build btw...lol)

The NOS FAB bars are the later style 84-85

Its yours... Build it up, or keep it as a bookend..

Your call, and your call alone...smile.gif

listen to the man - he's on to something

and he's right about the bars too. you would need the unknurled, thin bladed crossbar version.

P.S. Where do you guys FIND this stuff???
HurricaneHenry
I say build it. How did you come across this one?
oldschoolrider88
aaaah....use it as a bookend or a boat anchor.

its only a nos jmc 24".....its not like its RARE or anything.

Its actually going to sit in my display case here at home in Colorado. I am hoping to have a winter Colorado VintageOS meetup here, so you guys in the Rockies will be able to check it out.

How I found it......well, just like the 4 Nomuras I have found, along with literally tons of Hutches, Profiles etc......plain old kicking on doors, chasing leads, going on the occasional wild goose chase. Sometimes they pay off, sometimes they don't.

Its still out there. The real question is, who will find the next great find?????
MadCowboy
Damn! I thought I was doing good when I picked up an all stock 96 Goose cruiser over the holidays but I see Mr JMC up in Colorado has now burst my bubble.

Did I mention that I officially hate you now?

Nice score!

edit: you already know the answer to your question.. #1
Keep_It_Warm

hahaha, but it would give us ammunition to mock JMC and their weak structural integrity.

Keep on rolling as I always enjoy reading about your scores.
