I don't know if this post belongs here so feel free to relocate it.
I got my pad set about 2 weeks ago along with my new 2008 OM Flyer (Still boxed & waiting here at my shop). They look amazing on this 07 OM Flyer bike, fit great and are totally made for the bike. Color match is perfect.

I have been hoping/waiting for these Blue Retro Pads since I saw the 2007 OM Flyer magazine advertisement showing an actual blue pad set. Advertisement looked sweet and sparked my interest in buying the bike. After that I had major trouble for weeks tracking down a left over brand new 2007 OM Flyer. I was pretty much too late for the 2007 OM Flyer. I found one after 50+ emails around the globe and dozens of phone calls to SE Bike dealers around the country. None on EBay at the time. Found one 2007 OM Flyer by pure luck and timing left over at J&M Bikes here locally in So Cal. Dropped the phone and drove 100 miles round trip to pick her up. Thank you J&M for holding it for me. Nice and small old school bike shop, been there in Bell Gardens since the early days of BMX.
I’m very proud to own these new retro bikes by SE. I wish I could buy, ride/race and collect them all. Honestly speaking prior to 2007 I haven’t been a huge fan of SE’s bikes except for when I was kid in the 1980's with the P.K. Ripper which I have never had the opportunity to own yet. These new Retro inspired bikes made by SE and pushed at the corporate level by Todd Lyons are exceptional bikes in every detail. Well built and a lot of bike for your money. I am very happy with my purchases. Now I am really a huge SE fan and appreciating more of its history and designs of old school bikes. Hey I have to build something after my childhood Cook Brothers bike is complete.
I don't know Todd Lyons personally (though I hope to someday) and have no vested interest in SE Bikes. I don’t want this to come across as a suck up or kiss a** deal but more as a platform of appreciation for a job well done. Rarely do people get recognized and appreciated for their works but rather criticized. Damned if you do and damned if you don’t market place and culture we live in. I would like to publicly thank Todd Lyons for being at SE and having these beautiful bikes designed and made for us. I would also like to thank you for being apart of this BMX community, supporting/sponsoring this website and other sites and making yourself accessible to us through email, phone calls and these user boards. Many people at the corporate level that I deal with daily don’t have time nor get this close to the consumer base.
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR WORK! GREAT JOB! KEEP IT UP!
MORE RETRO BIKES PLEASE!
Installation Note: If you have an OM Flyer Retro like this you have to buy a Velcro strip from your local fabric or craft store for the frame pad to attach correctly. They are about $3 and come in about a 20" length and 1/2 inch wide both with positive and negative sides of the Velcro. Attach the Velcro strips to the new SE Retro pad Velcro area on each side and wrap that bad boy around your frame. Presto. This way you don’t have to cut the actual foam inside to fit the frame to keep your pad set original for later down the road.

Thank you again,
Tim
