I got a chance visit with the new Orbea TT bike at lunch today, this one with Dura Ace. Nice parts on a nice bike (seen via a blurry camera phone). This thing costs as much as my van.

yea. the white is sick. local shop got one in every color. It is a sick ride, but at a base price or 6+g's I better get a podium chick to go with it.

I have a 07 Ora TT & It's super slick.

You mean the one down by the river?

They need to work on their branding. What kind of bike is that again?

LOL - Classic!

I'm sure that bike can move out, as long as you bring your big engine!

I just showed it to our R&D guy. He said it may not be legal. The top tube area around the seat tube can not be longer than 8 cm. Looks longer than that to me. Sick bike just the same.
mr coasterbrake
it's legal the Euskaltel-Euskadi team raced that same frame this past year.

That's a sweet ride. Colnago is similar to Ferrai as they make some of the best hand crafted pieces of machinery in the world.

I always wanted a Colnago C-40.

i can not buy it can you??it cost way to much!!! the schwinn is the best bang for the buck . and if you look at most of todays bikes are made of glass & carbon fiber and gel coat and the drop out are .250 alloy cut outs screw in they are replaceable the way they make them is a jig made out of ply wood form not a nortac jig to build it is so differnt from the old days of building bike frames but you still got to use a nortac to set the bb and the headset and dropout in place

Back on the Colnago Ferrari bike. When I was operating my "garage" bike shop two summers ago, I was summoned to meet the richest guy in town. (This is the guy, who, legend has it (I wasn't there), when trying to "negotiate" with the city council regarding some sort of building permit for a driveway, was told "We are not going to be bullied just because you are a millionaire." His response: "I'm not a millionaire! I'm a billionaire!" He ended up getting his new driveway built. I love that story.)

Anyway, after I go through two passgates to meet him in his garage, he shows me his bike. It was the yellow Ferrari Colnago - which I think predates the red one shown above. He wanted me to replace the Campy Record Ti pedals with platform pedals. I guess the shop that sold it to him forgot to sell him some Sidi shoes (would have been a logical upsell) and he realized that these pedals weren't working for him.

Cars in his garage: Mercedes, BMW (I don't know the numbers of them), Toyota Prius, Porsche Cayanne for winter driving. Other bicycles in his garage: Two Porsche mountain bikes, Two Mercedes Benz city bikes, and a Gary Fisher.

I was pretty intimidated handling the Colnago. But then I realized: this wasn't nothing but a bike to him. Just a toy. Meant nothing more to him than a $99 Mongoose would mean to any of us.
