Are these GT's very rare? A guy on my route has a 1984 GT, 17" top tube, has a "2" stamped under the serial numbers(expert?) excellent shape,original owner,super nice shape,Hutch Pedals(very nice),Hutch deep "H" stem(silver), powerlite bars, proclass wheels(blue strip)gt hubs,redline 175mm flights,blue mx brakes.... I'm just wondering about the frame though, not sure how valuable the expert is? any help? and NO nothing is for sale ..yet.

Not rare as in 'exotic' but it sounds like a nice complete old school survivor.

yeah it's really nice. He says it's his old race bike but it doesn't look like it was raced much. hardly a scratch on anything. He may be selling the Hutch stuff off it(because he knows what they're worth) then I will try to talk him into selling the rest.

I love standards. Not sure if there much different than of the 81-83's, but I'd love to see it. I'm post 83 bmx dumb...

the frame and fork look almost exactly like my 84 "L" frame...this is mine.. I'll take some pics of his tomorrow.. ..
