I took a trip today about an hour and a half drive form home to do some tradng on a road bike I found at a garage sale. I got some cash, MX 60 wheels and some Lester mags. I talked and talked (three hours went by) and finally the guy said he knew of an old bike that a guy found in a trash can. I said how do I find him "he works at a local bike shop". They called and I went to see him. He went home, picked up this POS and we struck a deal!

These old things are out there!

Now - this is the ONLY one I have seen with a serial number on the headtube and the only one with a MS-1 original seat. The seat made it for me!

What is wrong, what is right and who has the decals and the correct paint codes?

Hey TeamRob - Awesome score! I would restore it. I've always wanted a set of those forks biggrin.gif
I don't really know much about these bikes so I'm not much help.
I'm sure someone out there can point you in the right direction about paint codes and decals.
Cheers

Here is mine before grips. As much as I love mine I would rather have a origional survivor like yours. Great find!

Very cool Dewabo. Your shock looks different than mine. I have seen at least three different type shocks for these bikes. Yours looks like the first gen shock with the Stingray dropouts. Mine has the Stingray dropouts too. I was also not sure if anyone else had this seat - glad to see some survived!

The thing wih me: if they canot almost look mint or have some "issues" I get bored with them. I love to claen and make look new, if they can never look new I get bored wiht them and let them go. This one will never look new!

Defintately leave it survivor.
