Full Version: Cranks From The Unknown

Just picked these up and the guy thought they were older flight cranks but from everything I've seen these don't add up to being a Redline product. They don't have the fastening screw for the spider and the tubing is more elliptical. Anyone know what these are? Thanks! Mike

did you get a bb with them? Looking at a pic i have of all the flight cranks i notice that they don't run a square taper in the early prototypes. Guess it stays a mystery. Cool though.

They look too sloppy for Redline, proto or not. I am guesing home made or????

I did get BB with them, looks like a standard square end Sugino type with non-sealed bearings, nothing special. It almost looks like they could be a dept store knock off of flights but they are nicer then that it seems. When I bought them I first thought Peregrine but after looking more these are non-pinch and I think the Peregrines all had single pinch. For $50 I though no matter what that they were at least pretty cool.
