I was wondering can anyone post the picture of the different style of hutch seat clamps. I know personally that I have 84-85 stamped (**HUTCH**) from my 1985 Pro Racer. I also was wondering how can you tell the difference between the japan made seat clamps from the taiwan made ones? Is there a difference on how the HUTCH was stamped? Stars or no stars? And what year where the different styles introduced? Thanks

First came the "true" donut clamp......hard to get the seatpost to stay put...cool looking, not the best design for function. I have a Magnesium clamp on my Direct Link...anyone know how many were made in Magnesium???????

then they came with the "other" donut (stamped Hutch on both sides) but this time the hole is off-set, making it easier to tighten.

last was the Hi-Caliber donut clamp. It is stamped in the front "Hi-Caliber"

Sorry no pictures....

Correct me if im wrong wink.gif

That sounds right.

The "Hutch" w/ stars stamped clamp came on the Pro Raiders and maybe Wind Stylers too, but not sure. Definitely on Raiders though.
