Click to view attachmentClick to view attachmentClick to view attachmentSomeone just traded it in when i walked in to talk about some spokes i had orderd, i asked if he wanted to sell it, he says make me an offer, i say will you take a $100.00 for it, he says give me $80.00, so i did. this bike is before my bmx days and i was wondering if the decals are original to the frame and what year it is. Thanks in advance for any information.

I'm no Redline guru, but Ithink that style frame is from roughly 1977 or so. It's a real cool score! Congrats Greg!

Cool one - The bike is either a 77 if the serial number is 4 digits, if it is 5 digits (on bottom bracket) it is a 78 or coupld even be very early 79 depending on serial number itself. If it is over 10000 then more than likely a 78. The decals are NOT original - at least the ones on the downtubes. I have had a couple of them and stil have this one... My 1978 MX-II
I paid $100 for it too about a year and a half ago. Cool score - and good luck with it. If you want to get rid of it I might be a player.

77-78 nickle Red Line survivor, very nice! Find you some nickle Red Line forks to go on it and your set!

serial # makes it a 79 I belive.
