Cool. Hadn't seen that one before. I'm guessing '81 or '82 at the latest, as he was on a Torker.

That's some great footage for sure. Amazing to think that's where it all started. Bob Haro doing those 2 ft airs has turned into what we see today at the X-Games. Thanks for posting that link.

Yeah...I think you're correct about the year. 81, 82... He is on his Torker and what looks like a Type•2 plate. Very cool style.

Just found out that it is 1980. Announcer states that he is "now 22". Bob was born in 58.

Sometimes I wish Haro hadnt invented Freestyle until the late 80's to 90's. That way more of it would have been visually documented the way everything is today. Haha.
But I have to say, the lack of video, and the fact that we mainly saw the roots of freestyle evolve only through magazines and pictures made it all seem that much more amazing and mysterious...
