Pretty cool. Good news that there's still stuff out there that you can share and appreciate together with your kids.
I've got to say I really dig the picture of the survivor T/A. Just a really good shot of a classic bike - preserved in time- like you say, because it "hasn't seen the light of day in eight years".
That '90 S&M was pretty rad, too. Mid-school, yes, but in years to come those bikes will be more and more respected for that very very undergound period BMX in general went through.
Thanks for sharing a link to that video "Dyno with the black mags...". Entertaining. Sweet PK Ripper (with a clear plastic chaingaurd...can't let your "gear" get caught up in your gear, LOL). Too bad there wasn't much more than a bunnyhop tailwhip as far as bike skills was concerned, and the whole gist about the song was being a thug delivering drugs on a 20" bike. Some passionate riders might take serious exception to that - bad image and all, reflecting poorly on the BMX community and everything, but I don't take that junk too seriously. It happens.
Besides, the lyrical content was philosophically
deep, man:
"But I don't care, Joe, I just keep on pedalin'
Ride past shorty -lite skin- no melanin
Shirt looked like somebody stuffed two melons in..."
Pure poetry.
