I'm trying to find a set for an old riding buddy and would like to impress him with my network/hunting skills.....lol

Would anyone have a set, or a leed on some that would help me appear like I am the man?....lol

Any help would be very appreciated...

Thanks!!

RJ! If I can find a set, I will let you know. It would be awesome if you can find where you had seen them before tough. Hopefully another member here has seen them aswell....I will keep hunting!

It's starting to look like all my old riding crew is getting into this scene and i'm really exited for them ( and wanting to help out )...

Here's a link to some really nice screen-printed repros. These decals are in Sweden, so after shipping costs it's a bit pricey but the quality looks to be excellent, and he ships worldwide. The store owner is a member here as well.

BIG DADDY

Big Daddy is one of the mid-school f/fs I'd like to get one of these days.

I just picked up to NOS sets from a guy in Ontario Canada. They are the new style not the ones like from Byke.
I'll see if he wants me to Post his Contact info.
If anyone is nterested I know of a couple Big Daddy's for sale.

Here's one I just bought. Late model US made frame.

I have 300dpi scans at home from a single set that I have if anyone is fired up to make them. I forget who but someone on the board asked for them a while back and said they were going to make some. I'll check my e-mail at home. I'm sure I can find who it was.

Nice avatar, Drob. Now your stylin'.
Hey Captain; please school me (or anyone else, for that matter). On the later BD f/f, did they not come with the Superfork with the long steering tube you could clamp a 1" stem into? Also, did they have 3/8" rear drop slots? Just wondering, because that's how mine is/was.
Loved that bike. Very solid rider. A classic.

I'm pretty sure all of the big daddys came with a regular 1" threaded fork for a shafted stem. All of them had 3/8" dropouts, until they were made in taiwan. Those had 14mm drops and an HB stamped in the headtube gussset. The superforks were sold separate. The early superforks used a 1" threaded headset. The later(and heavier) forks were 1" threadless and came with an aheadset.

Listen to Alan He's the AlmasterB of Hoffmans. LOL! He's helped me out alot.

Hey, thanks Captain. Welcome to VBMX!

Thanks for posting that picture of your Big Daddy, man... I don't feel nearly as bad about the big black shoe marks on the top tube of my frame now (see my recent "My Bike" post in the other freestyle section).

Anybody know a good way to get those marks off a frame without messing up the finish?

Hey Bigwig, have you tried simple green and a magic eraser?
Axlepeg
Friggin' Vans did that. I threw away the shoes and stripped the paint offa the bike shortly thereafter. Naked it remains. I stopped riding it last year.

Thanks for teaching me Big Daddy 101, almasterb.
almasterb
I liked that yellow one you have. I remember seeing it on bmxfreestyler.
CaptCanuck
Mark your decals are sweet. I'd like a set if I had the extra cash. But being My BD is a newer US version I wouldn't feel right about using yours on it. If i ever come across a early version BD it will Have your decals.
Thlayli
I'm going to have to try the Simple Green and/or magic eraser. I hadn't thought of actually trying stuff that's made to clean stuff like that. blink.gif

Josh: the marks on my frame were also left by Vans, which I've since thrown away. Vans don't seem to like yellow.
