About $$$$$. biggrin.gif

i think he wants like $75...it's painted crappy but he said he'd sand blast it for me.....?? I just don't know how bad the crack hurts it?
monocoquemike
Jump on it...great deal...then sell it to me! smile.gif No....seriously... laugh.gif
Rev.Lucky
does it have the landing gear forks w/ it? dont sand blast it, it will pit the frame. i learned from my first mistake.

$75 is a great buy. The frame is very fixable. DO NOT sand blast aluminum. Loop PK's are very popular but they are a far cry from RARE as TNT suggests. There are MANY of them out there. Snag it up.
valleyofthesuns
cool, i'll let him know NOT to sand blast it if it's not too late.....let you know if i score it...
BRIAN HAYS
Ya, I have stripped numerous PK frames with aircraft stripper and a razor blade. Blasting (even media) can compromise the surface finish of the alloy if not done right. If sand is used, go ahead and throw the frame away. It will be ruined for certain.

i got a hold of him in time...didn't sandblast it yet...but he said it's fudged up in a spot? (where i don't know?) but he said I could have it for FREE! Apparently it's painted green for now...I'll post a picture later once i pick it up and access the damage....no landing gears.....he said he has other old stuff i'll rummage through and hopefully find some goodies...
monocoquemike
I'll give you $75 for it...smile.gif
valleyofthesuns
it may end up for sale/trade? but probably not that cheap...lol....we'll see how it looks..

Nothing better than a "FREE SCORE" thread that ends in "I'll flip it but not near that cheap" after stating it was recieved for free. That's what's wrong with this hobby. Priceless...........................

dude, i'll trade it for equal value.....since i scored a free frame i have to give it away?? whatever!
BRIAN HAYS
Point is, SCORES are great. Selling stuff to fund other BMX stuff i understandable too. The 63 million threads that all start out "Got this free, yea for me, I'll take $XXX for it is COMPLETELY lame and getting old.
valleyofthesuns
not me...i'm looking maybe to trade for things I need to finish my Squareback....and it's still only a maybe...
NSR Jamie
I'll give you 75 for the frame if you want, sorry don't have much to trade but have some Izumi chains now...I can repair it myself probably. Sell it to me and you can use the money towards your Redline project
monocoquemike
Already offered over $75 I guess he wants a arm and a leg for a frame with a few cracks...oh well...throw it on the bay and see how it does there...

"I have a golden ticket"

I agree with Hayes.

9 bids and its approaching $2K!! I remember when polished loopytails were the hot ticket a few years ago but those were NOS. This one is restored. I dont get it.

I wonder what my nos gold PK or nos Floval Flyers would bring.

Out of curiousity what is the best way to strip chromemolly frames ??

as i too learned not to sand blast ....???

What other options are there ???
BRIAN HAYS
Use aircraft stripper and a razorblade OR on chromoly you can use media blast (walnut shells).
