Hey Yall,
Here is the footage of me riding at the last comp. I ended up taking 3rd place. This footage is of me riding during the qualifing rounds. There is more footage of me during the one on one battle that we had. I will get to that part latter. You can find the footage on www.bmxfreestyler.com along with other really cool videos and pictures and stuff!!!
Keep on Riding!!

I've noticed other riders stand on their back peg before they go into a hang-5, just as you did. Does that make them easier to learn? I never got the hang of them bitd and would love to learn them today!

Way to go, Mark! Your such an inspiration to everyone who's seen your journey. Just a couple years ago I remember your determination to learn hang-5s. Posting all those videos of the slow and sometimes painful process. Now you're nailing them as your first trick like nobody's business. Props to you, old sport. Nice boomerang stall in there. Large Ray would be proud. So close to those pivot-to-decade manuevers you were trying at the end, there. I'll bet when your not all nervous and jittery those are smooth as butter. Keep riding!

When I learned how to do a Hang 5 I read some where that it was easier to do them from the Rear Peg so thats how I learned how to do it. I can do it from my pedal its just I have to lift harder.
I can link my hang 5 to a Steamroller too. I have footage of that too from the comp. The comp was so much fun. I really had a good time. When you look back at the 1st comp that I entered you can see I really have made some progression. I don't always see it in my riding but when I look back at the older videos I can see it.
Ooo yeah Josh..those Decades are stilll KILLING ME!!! I finally pulled one that day but only one of them. When I do pull it its Great!!! I have never pulled it during my comp run. I hope for next time to do it. Do you still remember me trying to learn how do do a Wheelie? I can now pull a Noofooted Bar Spinning Wheelie!!! I got a picture of it and it looks CRAZY!!!!
Thanks for all the cool comments.
Keep on Riding!!!

Hey Mark,
I have to say, I'm also very impressed at your progression. Seeing you pull hang 5's and steamrollers smoothly is amazing. I too remember you just learning those tricks like it was yesterday. Keep up the good work. Your undoubtedly and inspiration to lots of guys on this board as well as your site. Cant wait to see more.
Ha, Josh, you're right.. that stall is a classic Ray move. Although Mark might have had to hold it just a little longer to achieve Ray's true form!

Awesome Mark!!!!
That is cool as heck. I was very impressed with your run. That is so freakin' cool that you're riding in competitions. Put a huge smile on my face. I need to hurry up and get my chores for the day done so I can jump on my bike a for a couple minutes. You've got me was pumped to ride.
I was really diggin' the expert battles. Especially when the music switched to AC/DC "Back in Black". I rode to that song at the '88 AFA Velodrome contest on an all black Master wearing all black. Black shorts and dyed an one of my Odyssey shirts black. Even painted my helmet black for the comp...and I still have it all black like that.
