I'm a cable tech and crawling under houses comes with the territory. It's a Schwinn Preditor Qualifier. Went to the local Schwinn dealer to find out more. It has a made in Tiawan sticker. drop out is stamped G1185 on one side and a bunch of numbers on the other. Not sure what to do with it yet

Some kid probably stole it and took all the parts off to put on his bike and then hid the frame from his parents.

So did you get the "85 all cleaned and reassembled? Would love to see it. I have had a few Qualifiers over the years. I still have a '86 Qualifier and a '85 Nighthawk.

I recently acquired one of these qualifiers for free.
It was complete but very low end parts that were beyond fixing so I threw about everything away except the SR neck.
did you notice the fork welds around the crown? they look unsafe to me.
I was just going to throw some walgoose parts on it with a cheapy Diamond Back fork for the kids to ride.
If there is value to these frames, I'll be glad to pass mine along. yuck.
