Excellent bike. Pretty much stock complete. I'm thinking its a mid-to-late '86, as they made those as the "World Tour" model for a bit that year before changing the name due to copyright infringement or some such thing. Serial # is probably hiding behind the left framestander.

Yep, mid to late 86, they only made that exact model for roughly 6 months and is different to the World Tour because of the quicker headtube angle required for the changing flatland tricks.
The first GT to score a gyro, this model is rare.
Awsome find, every original part is there.

Awesome 1986.5 score! How much did you drop for it?
Looks to be 100% original from here.

I was just looking at the rake of the forks in this picture and it's very obvious that GT used a quicker headtube angle on this one. A lot of the 85 and 86 Pro Performers had raked out forks like a chopper but this Pro Freestyle Tour is tucked in nicely.

Roberto,
You know that the headtube angle and the rake of the forks are two different things, right? Just asking because it sounded like you were using the terms interchangeably...I mean, I don't know the exact nomenclature myself perhaps, but I didn't think GT freestyler ever had a rake in the forks (or is it "to the forks"?). I thought that meant that the forklegs "bent out" (actually welded out) where they attached to the steering tube. Most notably like old Mongeese and Diamond Backs. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.
Once again, dude, that's a great score.

This should help:

E is the rake distance.
H is head angle.
Rake is a distance measurement. I guess then "offset" is a measurement of angle?

Very nice score!!! I always loved that color blue on the GT's. That seat looks to be in really nice shape too! Very hard to find in that color.

Yes axlepeg I was speaking interchangeably, because I wasn't sure if GT changed the rake of the forks as well as the headtube angle, but the result is obviously faster handling.

Can anyone tell me abt the mags. They are marked OGK and GT Performer.
Who made em for GT? Thx
Pauly

OGK and Skyway pretty much cornered the market on old school nylon mag wheels.
OGK made Peregrines Masters, GT mags, Hutch mags, 1988 Dyno mags... they also made each version just labeled with OGK.

That's probably from the last run of Japanese framesets before Gt switched to the factory in Taiwan.

Beautiful... I'd freak out if i found this in a Thrift shop.... sheesh.
and this thread is very educational.. I didn't know GT changed the World Tour name because if some kind of naming infringement.
