North Carolina is great place if you ride bikes. The scene is pretty laid back, the season never ends, and riding possibilities are endless. I have only lived here for about 18 months; there is no place I would rather be. Here are some pics from one of our local spots. Thanks to Cliff15 and Mountaingeeker for the photo's:

I'll be 39 Nov.1. I'm just grateful to still be able to get out there and ride.

Joel boosts like crazy everytime.

Eastern Bike's Joe Haley is SICK!

Don boosting the Hollywood jump. He's a local celebrity.

Me and Don. Don wants you to see his teef.

Haley.

Me on the mainline.

Don on the mainline.

A couple more years and Geeker's boy Conner is gonna be a trailboss. Bet on it.

This is a pic from last night. You can't tell from the pic but this set is about 3 feet taller than my truck. My first try at it i endoed real bad on the landing. It was scary. I have had 2 back surgeries. When I got up from the crash my back felt so good. My back got tweeked in a good way crashing. It hasn't felt this good in 2 years. I did it a few times after the crash and then decicded I shouldn't push my luck (especially without my helmet).
Yay! Trails season resurrection!

Thanks a ton everyone. Have a great fathers-parents weekend. I hope to ride with the family and freinds and get some more pics. I have a different idea for a trail pic. Maybe I'll be able to do it this weekend.
Bad dad or good dad? As far as saftey goes. He broke his arm on a trampoline 2 weeks ago and insisted that he could ride and I know he can. At least I made him wear his helmet. He told me today (no kidding) to slow down dad so I can follow in your footsteps. Fathers day rules when your a real dad. Sorry if that sounded jerkish.

One of our sets of trails locally. I haven't been up there yet this year so I don't even know if they are still up & running. They are actuaaly on county park land & there have been threats of the place getting plowed if the trash continues to be an issue. Cornfed, where are the trails you posted? I am considering a move to NC in a few months.

too funny. when i responded above my system was moving so slow i thought there was only one pic. then when i saw maurice's post i thought it was some kind of in-joke. today when i saw bs' post i knew i hadn't gotten the "full" picture the first time so i looked at it on my cell. doh!
hey kelly - how about calling that the moon-o-rail?
There's a nice little trails video at

Yea, I am kinda a photographer, but most of the time I am to busy riding, so I don't take 'good' photos. This day I happened to mess up the left side of my body in the first 10 minutes, so I did work.
