I wonder if anyone is having luck with these? I have been wishing for twenty years the'd make a tight 3/8" freecoaster with sealed bearings. Every loose ball freecoaster I've ever had has ended up in the trash with a quickness..
Also I am wondering if the street 48h hub can use the 3/8"studs??

I have one and am going to switch it out to 3/8 studs this winter to use it on a mid school frame. I like it, but have not broke it in yet. It has a slight clunk when it disenganges, but I got used to that within an hour and I have heard it gets better as you use it. I also have it set up for the quickest engagement- I wish it would feel like a freewheel, but then again it's not a freewheel. It's nice not to have to backpedal.

Have the 48 hole Street Version and it Rocks! Recommend that you replace the factory grease with a better/thinner grease...I use Phil Wood.

The factory grease would stick and the clutch would make a "loud" noise once you stop pedaling. Replace and you are all set to fakie everything or have your pedals setup for your fav flatland trix.

Been riding coasters then the ACS Freecoaster up to the Geisha. Yes, the rest like Nankai and Haro all slipped forward but no probs with the Geisha!

Good news, thanks. I think I'll go with the 48 and get the 3/8 studs. The question is to call Danscomp or flatlandfuel??

1. Support your Local Bike Shop (LBS) first
If they can't get it or the price is so high due to it being a one off product then...

2. Pat at Flatland Fuel is the best!
3. Dan's Comp

I went riding yesterday at the local bmx dirt track and two different street type riders were there riding with these freecoasters. They beat on these things and have good things to say, seems everyone wants one now. I am suprised because everytime I see these guys they have a new bike with no brakes and nothing stays unbent and/or cracked for very long.

Guys at a track without brakes...interesting?

Glad to hear others feel the same way I do about the KHE freecoasters.

yeah the track is retired for racing but freestyle jumping is the norm theses days. A combintion of dirt and street style and i'd like to say flatland but seems like I'm the only one. As for the brakeless part I'm not sure if it's a lack of simple maintenance or pushing the next level I can't say for sure. 990's front and rear for me though.

My Geisha is on my secondary bike, so I don't ride it as much/hard, but I have had zero troubles with it. I actually appreciate the disengage "clunk," because that way you KNOW it's disengaged.

I'm helping a buddy out with this hub. It's tearing up the drive side bearing? Any tips?
